真心觉得作文题目很WS……
Some people think parents should read or tell stories to children,
while others think parents need not do that as children can read books,
watch TV or movies by themselves. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
I would liken the story to a night without star were it not for your reading, I would liken the tale to a sleep without dreams were it not for your telling. Story telling has been living long for thousands of years not only as a culture delivering, but also a mysterious and beautiful tradition. And now, the fresh ground is broken, people start to wonder the necessity of story telling.
The new community of emerging human consider that since the mass media is so widely used and children are always curious about new things, why should we cost plenty of time to clam the active kids down, rack our brains and tell them stories which may even not be interesting or lively. Besides, impulsive and easily influenced as young parents are, they are constantly annoyed by their daily work and it may be too strict for them to leave enough patience for their children, trouble and noise maker, not to mention a soft and funny story.
While the resistance for this custom is so strong and powerful, the other hand of people still sting to their insistance that nothing can wave the status of story telling by virtue of its irreplaceable and life-long effects. It is not a simple way for leaning, but a vital pattern for communication,by which parents can smooth their naughty kids and show them into a fairyland where they can learn the true meaning of life but not the superficial highlight from mass media.It can be the most suitable atmosphere for parent-child to establish their relationship and may be the best and sweetest memory in their childhood which may make sense in their whole life.
As far as I am concerned, I will never forget my mother's soft voice tones down the lines so sharp and makes smooth what roughness seems, as if there is magic in her throng that she can make desert bloom to life, harsh thunder into sweetest song. Then I realize the fact that nothing in the world can take the place of my mother's voice,telling me the life of three pigs and snow white, is the treasure of my life which I will pass it on to my children and ask them to never lose it.
