You must try DonPachi, DoDonpachi and this DoDonpachi II. And DoDonpachi Dai-ou-Jou is a must-have!!!
btw, my favorite one is Dai-ou-Jou and Dai-Fukkatsu. I think the hardest one is DoDonpachi, and DoDopachi II is the easiest.
