When I was young , I always followed my mother to the mountain and watched the bird flying in the sky. Then I asked mymother , why they always fly in the sky ? My mother told me , because the sky is beautiful and pure . And when I stood in the mountain again ,everythings different .The colour of the sky has already change . No more birds I could see even trees in the mount also became many stove-pipes which never stop spiting smoke to the sky .Over the past 50 years, when we excited about experiencing the high-tech products and living in the huge buildings . We maybe forgot one thing that we already broken the earth too much .Last weekend , I saw the movie “home” and realized the earth was so beautiful until now . But if we don't do anything ,our children may be only can find the word “beautiful” from recording movies and magazines . Of course one person’s strength is weak , I cannot save the world just by my own hands , but sky also can not be polluted by only one stove-pipe. So just do something , even it is very small but still necessary ,valuably. To be honest , I never realized before the earth need us help . But now I know I have to do some , such as water-saving power-saving and be avolunteer of WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals), anything I can. Of course I cannot bring the already extinct animals back to the earth . At least I can let it slower than it before .Earth is our only home , we have no choice except protect it .From now ,I appeal you to start to protect earth , start with at least just realize how serious it is . One more people join this , the home which have blue sky and many birds will closer to us.It's up to us to write what

Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons anddetails to support your answer.
The Advantages of City Life
There are undeniable advantages to both life in a big city and in a small town. The former offers more excitement and convenience while the latter offers a cleaner, quieter andoften friendlier place to live. However, despite theadvantages of small town life, I prefer to live in a big city for several reasons.
First, life in the city is more convenient. More goods are available and stores are open later. Also, there is better public transportation so itis easier to get around. I can find almost anything I want easily in the city. Second, there are more ways to spend leisure time in the city. There are many places I can go to meet friends and have fun. Finally, and most importantly, the city offers moreeducational and career opportunities. The city often attracts the best teachers and the best companies. There is also a wider choice of jobs so it is easier to move up the career ladder.
For all of thesereasons, I prefer tolive in the city. Although I sometimesmiss the fresh air and quiet life of a small town, nothing can make up for the opportunities that the city offers me. If one wants to be successful, I believe the best place to live is thecity.
undeniable adj.
get around到处走动(=get about )

My mom has a 1)magnetic force around her. Rootless things fly through the air toward her and land at her feet. Five husbands did, one right after the other. She was 15 years old when Number One appeared. There's only one photo of her from back then. She's got one foot up on the 2)running board of an old 3)pickup truck. She's got a hand up like she's trying to shield her eyes. She looks like she's seeing something off in the distance, something that's better than anything within reach.
The day she met Arnie, Number One, was one of those days when you swear you can reach out and grab a handful of air, all hot and thick and going nowhere. Arnie's car broke down on the road that ran alongside the 4)trailer park, just as Ma and her mom were coming back from the store, each carrying a bag of groceries. Arnie stood frowning into his engine, looked up as the women passed and asked the distance to the nearest gas station or garage. According to Ma, he got as far as “Hey ladies, can you tell me how far it is?” and Ma, full of too much humidity and boredom, shot back, “Too far for those 5)fancy shoes to carry you.”
Ma watched him pull his head back and start laughing. The car got fixed, and the next thing my grandma knew was that her daughter seemed to be always getting into that car or getting out of it. Finally, my grandma signed the papers and Ma and Arnie were married. In four months, Arnie was in the 6)Merchant Marines, halfway around the world. Ma carried all his letters in her 7)bathrobe. She cried that she couldn't hold onto the calls like she could the letters. After about a year, her bathrobe pockets went back to just 8)lint and tissues, and in no time at all, the divorce was finalized.
Number Two was Claude, who became the father of Ma's first child. The others followed so fast it was like they were all lined up inside her, waiting. I belong to Number Three, although by the time I was born, Number Three was long gone. Numbers Four and Five added a few more towns and houses of their own. After a while, I 9)lost count of all the places we lived.
Ma left Number Five when my grandma died, came back to Cockeysville, sold the trailer and bought a pickup truck. By then, I was the last one at home. We started out for Michigan, got as far as South Bend, Indiana and stayed long enough for me to get a job at the phone company. Ma met Mel, and for the first time ever, she said she'd live with a man but not get married.
It's a lot of years later and I've never left South Bend. Don't ask me if I like living here; it's not a question I've ever asked myself. It's just where I am. I've been married for 15 years to the same man, and we've always lived in the same house. I don't want to ever think about moving. I told my husband I chose him because he was born in South Bend. And because he's a 10)locksmith. His job is to make locks for houses where people want to 11)stay put. Or he helps people who have been locked out of their house so they can get back in. I have about 20 extra keys to my house. I always want to be able to get back in.
